Hi, my name is Javier and I am a photographer in Metro Vancouver, Canada. My eyes strive to frame moments that condense the objective with the subjective.
After taking pictures for 5 years as an enthusiast I decided to create my portfolio and help businesses, organizations and individuals communicate their stories through photographs.
In my spare time I like to shoot in anything that grabs my attention in the streets. I also photograph landscapes, nature and architecture for fun.
More about me:
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I came to Canada to study mechanical engineering. After a while I realized my skills and motivations are more in line with the social issues surrounding the use (and abuse) of technology. That’s why I decided to pursue a BA in Human Geography at UBC. My current passions are social sustainability and photography.
The beach…let’s say I just LOVE good summer days, swimming in the ocean, playing cards, soccer, ultimate, just chatting, or even dancing salsa or merengue barefoot on the sand. Yes, I have deep latino roots.
At the end of the day I like to relax on my bed and fall asleep listening to Bach, Mozart, Chopin, some light jazz or bossa nova…just the perfect setting to end a great day…
